The ISD Garden Project is an outdoor garden classroom. It is an Educational Innovation project designed to enrich curriculum, inspire creativity, and strengthen children's attachment to the natural world. The ideas of permaculture and holistic methods of gardening are implemented to bring awareness and purpose to ecological concepts and sustainability.
Last Thursday the Garden Project collaborated with the Recycling ASA to sell our local produce--arugula, kale, chard, cilantro, beets, lemongrass, lemon oregano, and lavender--to raise funds to build a recycling bin to collect plastic. It will be recycled by a local recycling business. Thanks so much for all your support!
